2009-05-15 by : joshywashington I have a yearning burning churning desire to travel to Burning Man to capture the whole blessed event with my video camera. I want to spend tat week among the burning men and women who gather in the desert for perhaps the largest and most legendary counter cultural annual gathering. I want to see the ten million glorious embers of that giant effigy soar into the sky. I want to capture ...... |

2009-05-15 by : BrittaBarrett I'd like to set out on a path that explores both the literal landscape and the literary landscape of this nation. My journey would begin from my home in Saint Augustine, FL traveling towards the hostel in the forests of Brunswick, GA. For three nights I would stay in tree forts, learning about the sustainable community the resident workers of the hostel have built. My time would be ...... |

2009-05-15 by : will_vagabond Most of the time ideas of a road trip through the US follow the way settlers have journeyed from East to West. I would rather start West, specifically in California, probably the place most linked to the concept of the "American Dream". I'd then like to move away from the glitter of LA and Vegas to get a first hand view of what I'd call "Real America" - the part of the country we often see only ...... |

2009-05-14 by : Valerie I would like to travel to some of the major metropoli of the Midwestern and Northeastern United States, including Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York. For the past 8 years, the majority of my time on the road has been spent abroad. I'd already done enough domestic travel with my family and there was ...... |

2009-05-14 by : Forever Born Well, considering I was introduced to this site on the day of the deadline, i haven't planned out any itineraries just yet. But I'm leaving for Nicaragua tomorrow, will be back May 30th, which gives me two weeks to think about it. But I can imagine myself traveling scenic roads starting here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The road will lead me to an array of ...... |

2009-05-14 by : SteinbeckForLovers Its been some time now that my boyfriend of many years and I have talked about embarking on our next big adventure. Justin and I are both chronic transients, flitting from one place to the next with future plans that seldom reach farther than the next six months. Between us we’ve lived in many states and several different countries—some of it together, though much of it alone. ...... |

2009-05-14 by : Kelsey Rose When typically asked what direction are you headed - the average American answer is West. Well I'm already there. Just about as far west as you can get and its great. But where do I want to go - East! I am ready to say goodbye for the summer to the beach, surf and sun for a new adventure inland. I want to travel east into the Rookie Mountains through Idaho and Wyoming, over the Tetons and then ...... |

2009-05-14 by : Akasha Anywhere, everywhere. I believe there is more truth to the old adage it is not the destination but the journey than we usually give credit. Though if I was forced into a room with threats to decide I would say the natural wonders would be first on my list, the parks, the canyons, the mountain ranges, the obscurities. Second, the old cultural cities, stating with the east coast with American ...... |

2009-05-14 by : ifer There is this one tree that grows out of two boulders that are smashed together at the top of a canyon on the Narrows hike at Zion National Park in Utah. I would need to see this again. Also, back when I attempted to be a capitalist, I was sent on a press trip to Alberta to check out how priviledged people ski during the cold months. I would really love to see those beautiful mountains ...... |
