Cliff Dwelling Condos
No one knows for sure why the ancestors of today’s Pueblo Indians disappeared from these cliff dwellings along the canyons in Northern New Mexico around 1,200 A.D. Some speculate that the area became over crowded and could not support the community when long term droughts came about.
But my theory, judging from the many condo like dwellings, is that the area became over built. Then the cliff side condo crazy collapsed, leaving many Indians upside down on their mortgages. This led to mass evictions and there went the neighborhood.
Perhaps there will be neighborhoods in Las Vegas, Florida and California that will suffer the same fate.

Hello Pat,
I couldn’t figure out how to message you, but I wanted to inquire about the Roads Scholarship you did a few years ago.
My sister and I, as well as 2 brothers we are friends with, are planning a road trip around the United States this summer. We each have a list of destinations as well as goals for our trip as we look for adventure and life experience over the next 3 months.
My sister, Valori, is a photographer and painter who will be documenting our trip through photos and sketches. Denney is a musician who plays 12 different instruments as well as a amateur snowboarder and skateboarder. Beau is a adventuring hipster who will be doing a lot of our filming and I will be blogging along the way with all of our updates.
I don’t know if you are doing your scholarship this year or not, but I wanted to check with you and see if that would be available. Please let me know if you have any information or suggestions on our potential adventure. Thank you!
