Pat, Goddamnit...you've done it again! You're doing it again!

It sounds like you're holding up okay in that dingy paradise you so lovingly described. I want you to know how connected to you I feel, as I'm on the opposite side of the globe, but in a very similar environment. Josh and I are holed up in the southeast of India-- on the coast, staying in little picturesque beach cities. Somehow our contact here in India got us rooms in government guest houses that boast 400 square foot rooms and walk-in closets, all for a little under $5 a night. God you'd love it here. We'll be waving goodbye to the beach scene in a day, however, off to a utopian/experimental communal living village called Auroville, where we'll pass the days replanting trees in an endangered forest, cooking organic Indian cuisine, taking yoga classes and getting lost in blissful meditation quietly sequestered in the giant (approx. 150 feet tall) Golden Orb situated at the center of the village (totally true).

Anyway, know that we found palpable, chemical proof that there's such a thing as enlightenment ;) and chewed it happily on the beaches of the Arabian Sea. We're still mulling over and deciding how and what to write for the site. When we get more sustained and dependable internet access, be ready for pictures and prose. In the mean time, know that my thoughts drift to you often, and I hold dear the image of a bedraggled you sitting contemplatively in your tropical hermitage: stiff drink and hand rolled cigarette, midnight ocean swims and the terrible struggle of putting into words the gestations of one's Mind.

Peace to you
Keep up the writing, I'm enjoying it!
